Our Company

Our company was begun in 1975 by the Giftos family. Our retail store was located on Route One in Falmouth and moved to our present location in North Yarmouth, in 1998.

The retail store was managed by the late "Poolside Charlie" and Shirlee Giftos and the outside operations ( pool building, repairs and servicing ) by Constantine "Chuck" Giftos, who still operates the company as President, currently.

Our retail store located at 5 Walnut Hill Commons, in North Yarmouth at the intersections of Routes 9 & 115, sells a complete line of swimming pool chemicals, cleaning accessories, testing kits and offers water testing, pool care and operational advice at prices that compete with the internet.

Our construction, repair and service operation is all managed in house by dedicated professionals with decades of experience building and maintaining swimming pools in Maine. Our decorative patio work is rivaled by none. In addition to having acquired our skills by years of practice, we attend yearly training to keep abreast of the latest products and techniques that the concrete industry is using.

Poolside, Inc. is also a distributor of decorative concrete tools and coloring supplies to contractors and individuals that perform stamped concrete and related work. We offer training and advice in new decorative concrete work or restorative projects.

In addition to our new pool construction work, we do liner replacements and repairs, pool opening and winterization, pump, filter and heater repair, pool plumbing repair, water clearing and maintenance and we are experts at pool patio repairs and renovation.
